Federal Retirement Time Factor Table
Use the time factor table below to convert your years, months, and days of service into your Years of Service for your pension calculation. Find the column with the number of months, and go down the rows until you find your days in service.
Examples
Let's say you had 25 years, 3 months and 9 days of service. Find the column for 3 months in the table below. Then, go down the rows until you find 9 days. In that box, you will see. 0.275. In this example you have 25.275 Years in Service. Or, let's say you had 15 years, 10 months and 24 days of service. When you look up 10 months and 24 days, you'll see 0.900. This means that you have 15.900, or 15.9 Years in Service.
